Diversity Dialogue: The Power and Cost of Resistance

A Viewing and Discussion of “The Handmaid’s Tale”

The Handmaid's Tale

"The Handmaid’s Tale"  is an Emmy-Award winning television series set in a not-too-distant dystopian future where the population has become infertile. A small number of women have maintained their fertility and have been forced into sexual servitude for the purpose of repopulating the earth. Please join the Diversity Directorate as we discuss the role of resistance in fighting oppression as it relates to “The Handmaid’s Tale” and current issues. We will view the first episode of Season 2. If you have not viewed that episode, we encourage you to view it with us. If you have already viewed it (or cannot join us for the viewing, you may view it ahead of time on Hulu), then join us around 6:30 pm for a lively discussion and pizza.

The first 15 to sign up will receive a special treat!
